Further details surrounding the incident, including a description of a possible suspect or suspects, have not been released. Investigators have not established a motive, but said preliminary findings indicate this was not a random act.

Police say this silver Honda Accord was used by the shooting suspects.

A nearby wrecked vehicle is also under investigation, but it's unclear what role it plays in the shooting.

"That's the sad part about it, people don't realize that when they go out and commit these crimes, going after people trying to shoot them, you may not hit who you want to hit-granted, you shouldn't be shooting at somebody anyway, but if you are, you can take anybody's life," said Ryan Highsmith of Raleigh.
